About The Position

The overall objective of the Material Supervisor is to effectively assist in controlling the flow of materials through the site and to integrate various planning and information systems. This role provides accurate information, effective material control, and continuous improvement in performance to meet the objectives and needs of the Company and its clients. Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• 5+ years of experience in Materials Management/ Project Management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Proficiency in JD Edwards

Responsibilities

• Comply with and ensure compliance with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations.
• Coordinate the activities of the group under his/her control with site and other support groups to ensure schedules and material control plans are fully integrated within the project organization. This includes inventory management and control, and the short day-to-day resolution of supply chain issues including material availability.
• Assist in the development of relevant processes and procedures.
• Work closely with Purchasing, QA, and various Engineering Disciplines in procurement activities, specifically relating to defining the company's material requirements and monitoring vendor performance in meeting these needs. This includes driving materials procurement, tracking, and inventory planning through the plant purchasing group.
• Provide analysis through the accounting and inventory control group in areas of inventory accuracy, inventory levels against targets, On Time and Full Shipping, Minimization of Waste and Scrap, and budget control.
• Maintain the highest safety standards for his/her areas of responsibility and act as a role model in supporting the Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and standards of the Company and Clients.
• Implement health and safety procedures.
• Interview, hire, and oversee training of staff.
• Perform other duties assigned by manager.
