About The Position

Material Stocker stores, issues, and moves a variety of materials and products. This role involves frequent lifting of boxes (3-45 lbs.) off pallets (6 inches off floor to chest level) and/or VGV’s. The position requires maintaining and verifying actual inventory and materials being handled, supplying parts for production lines, and transporting material through the plant as needed. The Material Stocker operates a variety of material handling equipment and may disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage products. Responsibilities include ensuring the quality and quantity of work produced, assisting in training other associates, and flexing into production lines as needed. Accuracy of inventory records and quality of work are essential. The role also requires maintaining a neat, orderly, and safe work area. Additionally, the Material Stocker may plan and organize the execution of the daily line schedule, including leading a cell in the absence of a team leader, and is responsible for identifying and implementing improvement ideas in the work area.

Requirements

  • Associates must not have been awarded a job through a posting in the previous six (6) months (exceptions may apply).
  • Associates can have no written disciplinary warnings within six (6) months of the posting date.
  • Associates cannot have less than 17 UTO hours.
  • Associates must be able to work 8+ hours per day and 40+ hours per week.
  • Associates must meet all the minimum qualifications outlined on the job bid.
  • A 90-day probationary period applies.

  • Exceptions to the 6-month time limit may be considered if circumstances beyond the control of the associate caused a shift change or demotion or based on business needs.
