About The Position

The Material Stock Handler is an essential part of the print production team, responsible for various tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role involves sorting, organizing, and preparing materials for production, as well as supporting machine operators and maintaining a safe work environment. The Stock Handler is crucial in upholding production standards and quality requirements while fostering teamwork and communication within the department. We are seeking a full-time – 2nd Shift Material Handler - experienced or willing to learn all aspects of managing material in our Iowa facility. This position is responsible for assisting in a print manufacturing environment with a focus on reduction in cost related errors, exceeding client expectation, and driving a safe workplace. Prior experience as a Material Handler is a plus.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Able to lift and move 15-25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Able to stand on concrete for 10-12 hours and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, and stretch on a regular basis.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members.
  • Must demonstrate reliability through attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be able to foster team cooperation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Printstream Software a plus.
  • Experience operating electric jacks, pallet jacks, and forklifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies and prepares materials according to work orders.
  • Supports the mailroom by retrieving and organizing materials.
  • Sorts, organizes, and prepares finished products for delivery.
  • Operates material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (preferred).
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Identifies and reports safety hazards and damaged equipment.
  • Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Collaborates to troubleshoot production challenges and improve processes.
  • Adheres to safety procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Participates in training and development opportunities.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
