About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Material Specialist with Stockroom experience to join the dynamic team in Huntsville, AL. This role involves performing manual and clerical work related to the management of materials, supplies, parts, assemblies, equipment, and tools. The specialist will be responsible for receiving, storing, recording, distributing, issuing, inventorying, identifying, sorting, counting, kit assembling, packaging, shipping, ordering, and requisitioning these items. The position also requires maintaining adequate stock levels, operating record systems and equipment, ordering necessary supplies to support shop operations, expediting the supply of needed items, preparing reports, and identifying and reporting critical supply problems with recommendations for corrective action. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, necessitating U.S. Citizenship. An interim pre-start and final post-start U.S. Secret clearance are mandatory.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory, stock or supply chain.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim pre-start and final post-start U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience handling and disposing of hazardous materials per government regulations.
Experience with MS Office Suite.
Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform manual and clerical work to receive, store, record, distribute, issue, inventory, identify, sort, count, kit assemble, package, ship, order and requisition material, supplies, parts assemblies, equipment and tools.
Maintain adequate stock on hand as needs and requirements determine.
Use and operate records systems and equipment.
Order tools, parts, prints, specifications and material to support shop operations.
Expedite the supply of needed items by liaison, coordination and follow up with others.
Prepare and maintain regular and requested reports, charts, graphs and status of work operations information.
Recognize, identify and report critical supply problems and take or recommend corrective action.
