About The Position

FTAI owns and maintains commercial jet engines with a focus on the Maintenance, Repair and Exchange (MRE) of CFM56 and V2500 engines. FTAI’s propriety portfolio of products, including The Module Factory and a joint venture to distribute engine PMA helps make CFM56 and V2500 engine maintenance simpler, more cost-effective, significantly faster, and more environmentally friendly. Additionally, FTAI owns and leases jet aircraft which often facilitates the acquisition of engines at attractive prices. FTAI invests in aviation assets and aerospace products that generate strong and stable cash flows with the potential for earnings growth and asset appreciation. FTAI operates globally and has offices in New York, Miami, Montreal, Singapore. Dubai, United Kingdom and Ireland. This role is responsible for being the primary material specialist representing supply chain at site operations meetings while developing and implementing strategies and supply solutions (availability, costs and quality) for a sub-group of components, including Expendables and Low Value Repairable. This includes, representing the supply chain with a focus on active participation, engagement and accountability within the internal operations teams to provide support and solutions as required. Ensuring material availability in line with business requirements, cost savings and price increase mitigation efforts, complete RFQ cycle, building business cases, developing new supply strategies internally and with key suppliers. Leverages in-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work and integrates with other teams and contributes to the overall Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • Five or more experience in an Engine MRO/production environment
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Supply Chain processes related Engine Maintenance
  • University degree or demonstrated relevant equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to work with a broad range of variables, conduct root cause analysis, and ability to assess both short-term, strategic and long-term impact of alternative courses of action.
  • Excellent organizational awareness, accountability and relationship building skills, with the ability to manage through multiple teams in various locations
  • Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
  • You may be required to travel and work extended hours when required

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for being the primary POC to manage and maintain the integrity of the commodity and associated supply chain parameters within the primary planning tools (i.e. Palantir)
  • Represent and take accountability for the Supply Chain team at daily Operations meetings, ensuring actions and solutions to support the business requirements
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to sourcing, supply chain disruptions, and supplier performance that could impact commodity availability.
  • Monitor, forecast, and develop strategies to capitalize on macroeconomic and industry trends impacting the assigned commodity and business in region to minimize total material costs, ensure material availability, capacity, and quality
  • Participate in sourcing initiatives to leverage best practices: partner with other commodity managers, sourcing leaders, and peers to maximize synergies and global
