About The Position
The Material Sorter will be responsible for sorting various materials including cardboard, plastic sheets, and frames. This role involves inspecting materials for quality, operating warehouse equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position requires physical stamina and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time.
- Attention to detail when sorting and inspecting materials.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse or material-sorting experience is a plus, but training may be provided.
- Experience operating an electric pallet jack is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Sort cardboard and separate good-quality material from damaged or unusable material.
- Sort plastic sheets and separate good material from damaged material.
- Separate plastic sheets by thickness, including thin and thick sheets.
- Sort and separate wooden and plastic frames.
- Inspect materials for quality and proper condition.
- Operate an electric pallet jack to safely move materials and pallets.
- Load, unload, and organize materials as needed.
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
- Follow company procedures and basic safety guidelines.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
