Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0 to 3 years of automotive industry experience for specialists
  • Native or fluent bilingual proficiency in Korean and English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Practical experience with SAP

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics
  • Associates (AA/AS) or Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
  • Supply Chain Management or Business Management

Responsibilities

  • Establish and administer the Purchasing Working Group.
  • Ensure continuous supply of needed parts by monitoring inventory levels and purchasing processes.
  • Provide information to suppliers.
  • Work on trial builds and Purchase Orders.
  • Maintain purchasing information.
  • Provide information for status reports.
  • Analyze part requirements.
  • Requisition and track part inventories to meet Just-in-Sequence (JIS) production demands.
  • Analyze part requirements, issue purchase orders, and monitor trial builds.
  • Monitor import trade policies, coordinate with customs brokers, verify HS-codes, and maintain vital shipping documents (e.g., Certificates of Origin, B/L).
  • Track shipping containers in transit, at ports, and at plants.
  • Manage port detention and demurrage charges to control costs.
  • Present reports on part shortages, expediting delivery to prevent production downtime.
  • Maintain accurate material data and financial transactions within enterprise resource planning tools like the SAP System and supplier portals.
