About The Position

This position requires working 12-hour shifts from 5:30am to 5:30pm for the day shift, following a rotating schedule of three days on and four days off, alternating with four days on and three days off. You will enjoy every other weekend off, providing a well-balanced schedule. We offer a premium shift differential of 10% for all nighttime hours, ensuring your dedication is both recognized and rewarded. Overtime pay is provided at a rate of one and one-half times the regular hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek, in accordance with federal and state labor laws. As a Material Review Board (MRB), you play a vital role in ensuring product and process quality by documenting, tracking, and supporting the resolution of nonconforming material and product issues. You serve as a liaison between quality, production, engineering, and supply chain teams, ensuring that nonconforming items are properly identified, segregated, and addressed according to internal procedures. Your meticulous attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and communication skills are essential in maintaining compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one (1) year of experience in manufacturing or quality inspection
  • Familiarity with common inspection tools and defect tracking systems
  • Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications with confidence
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, organization, and time management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or certification in quality inspection
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Familiarity with ERP or QMS software such as SAP, Oracle, or Plex

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished parts to identify nonconformities using technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Accurately document all nonconforming parts in Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) or defect tracking systems.
  • Segregate and quarantine nonconforming materials to prevent them from being used in production.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to determine the root cause of nonconformities and support effective corrective actions.
  • Participate in determining the appropriate disposition for nonconforming parts, whether rework, scrap, or return-to-vendor.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and visual inspection methods to evaluate components accurately.
  • Maintain clear and accurate inspection logs and ensure traceability of rejected materials.
  • Provide accurate documentation and clear explanations of nonconformities during internal audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Proactively identify and recommend improvements to inspection procedures and quality control processes.
