Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) to support production for the Advanced Sensors Programs (ASP). The (MPM) role, within RTX, requires the individual to have demonstrated project management experience and to be accountable for overall supplier management, performance and success. As the interface between Supply Chain, the Program Office/Integrated Product Team (IPT), supplier, and other functions working on both development and production contracts; this role is responsible for executing to outlined supply chain strategies and supporting organizational and program objectives.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience
  • Experience with Supply Chain, Production Control, and/or Procurement processes and requirements
  • Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

  • Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense Industry
  • Ability to balance reasonable thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
  • Working experience as a Cost Account Manager
  • Experience with proposal efforts
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement, Six Sigma or Lean methodologies/principals

Responsibilities

  • Overall ownership of several over TINA suppliers, with focus on collaborating with the Program IPTs to ensure cost effective material availability for production requirements.
  • Accurate sales forecasting of all assigned ETC.
  • Supports program capture efforts in working with New Business Team to get compliant material pricing submittals and developing BOE’s (Basis of Estimates) for MPM support labor.
  • Creates, manages, and executes MPS (Material Program Strategy and the MPP (Material Program Plan) to enable successful execution of program competitiveness and performance; from the front end of the business through contract closure.
  • Provides comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities and ensures IPDP compliance for the programs and tailoring when applicable.
  • Key activities typically include: financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, material sales forecasts, etc.)
  • Monitoring and proactively addressing performance and financial metrics including those related to cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
  • Collaborating with other programs to maximize efficiency of program execution including other RI&S programs commonality.
  • Overall ownership of the supplier management process including supplier performance, SCM metrics, international issues, Make/Buy Where strategy, strategic agreements, and communication of customer flow through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
