The RAM program is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) with project management or process improvement skills who will be directly accountable for ensuring overall supplier performance. You must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management. You will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies and plans. The MPM serves as the leader for all RAM supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Team (IPT), and the Supply Chain organization. You will support the development, coordination, and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives. This position requires an individual who will be able to exert influence to affect the overall objectives and long-range goals of the program. The ideal candidate will have material requirements planning (MRP), procurement, or supplier engineering experience and have had successful project management or process improvement experience.

Requirements

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with Supply Chain, Operations, and/or Production Control.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SAP MRP, PDM CR/Stamp Creation Process, and/or Procurement
  • Experience in tracking, planning, & reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team-oriented environment
  • Experience with Special Access Program (SAP) and Office 365 programs.
  • Experience managing multiple conflicting priorities and leading process improvement project plans

Responsibilities

  • Manage material forecasting, identify risks and related opportunities, and develop and implement material strategies
  • Track MRP and report on material forecasts and Estimates at Complete (EACs)
  • Ensure suppliers meet cost and schedule requirements
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase supplier production capacity
  • Facilitate supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.
