About The Position

The Material Program Manager will join our Mission Systems team. In this critical role, you will lead the supplier management process developing and executing strategies to mitigate risk, drive supplier performance, and optimize material flow across the program lifecycle. You’ll act as a key liaison between customers, program management, and suppliers, ensuring all material contract objectives (technical, cost, and schedule) are met with excellence. Your responsibilities will include managing supplier performance, resolve supply chain issues, and ensuring full compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset requirements, public law, quality standards, and warranty obligations. You will also evaluate and refine the MakeBuy/Make Where (MB/MW) strategy to improve operational efficiency while developing comprehensive material program strategies and overseeing the financial management of material requirements. Success in this role requires strong leadership, deep expertise in procurement, contracts, production control, and logistics, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams toward operational and strategic goals. Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience in a supply chain role, or an Advance Degree and 5 years prior relevant experience in a supply chain role.
  • Prior experience leading cross functional teams
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP/PRISM and the Supply Chain suite of tools
  • Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes across product life cycle
  • Certified Material Program Manager, Program management certification or equivalent
  • Experience in Supplier management

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Program Manager and all Cross-Functional leaders to ensure execution of AOP, OTD delivery, and material coverage to enable program to meet commitments to internal and external customers.
  • Be responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of all program material strategies, plans, and supplier risk mitigation activities.
  • Establish and drive material sales forecasting for assigned program and product line.
  • Drive FEOTB front end of business activities related to MRP planning, load, material releases, initial & quarter EAC reporting, etc.
  • Work with Program, Factory, and Supply Base to establish accurate material coverage to meet MRP needs and other sustainment execution efforts.
  • Establish accurate manufacturing plannings with Program Operations Managers (POM) and the Program to manage specific risks & opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional leads and other team members to drive cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Engage with Engineering, Mission Assurance (Quality), and Supply Chain organizations to drive supplier performance, execution, and yield of products needed for assigned program.
  • Prepare & present information for weekly / monthly management reviews, summarizing program status & any on-going development / production issues.
  • Support proposal activities including Basis of Estimate (BOE) generation, material pricing inputs with SCPX, and RFQ planning / execution with specialist and buyers, and work with Procurement to manage CAPA closure on all TINA requirements necessary.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and knowledge sharing by documenting program execution insights, capture lessons learned, and contributing to repeatable process improvements that strengthen MPM execution standards across the team.
  • Solve material planning/procurement issues and drive successful outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and stakeholder meetings, facilitate decision-making, align priorities, and drive execution without direct reporting authority
