Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) for their AIM-9X program, to be located onsite in Tucson, Arizona. This individual contributor role is an opportunity to work directly with the supply base, requiring knowledge of the material requirements planning (MRP) process with practical knowledge of project and material management. In this role, the candidate will utilize knowledge of manufacturing, material requirements planning, and business acumen within a matrixed organization to lead an MPM team. The role involves developing and executing a material program strategy/plan for a program or integrated product team. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas and with external parties. There will be an opportunity to lead the production MPM team, resolve issues, and handle conflict resolution.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Experience with supply chain and forecasting
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Professional experience with Project, Program, Product, Finance and/or Supplier Management
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and Power point)
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), leadership abilities, and the ability to work in an IPT environment
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks that they will be required to perform

Responsibilities

  • Overall supply chain ownership of production suppliers
  • Develop and execute strategies to perform and meet the Program’s needs
  • Lead robust and challenging schedule conflicts to meet the Program objectives
  • Provide accurate forecasting and realization of sales and additional financial metrics
  • Commit to obtaining MPM certification after experience in the role
