About The Position

Assurant is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Material Processor Lead to support inventory operations and team leadership at our Irving facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring inventory accuracy, and fostering team engagement. As our department grows, this lead position will help bridge operational needs and employee development, providing hands-on guidance and escalation support. This role is located at the Irving, TX DCC with a schedule of Friday - Sunday, 6am to 6:30 pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or material handling
  • Prior experience in a lead or senior role
  • Strong understanding of inventory systems and warehouse processes
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed
  • Working knowledge of shop floor systems (CVision, Oracle, Unit Tracker, Great Plains, Ghost)
  • Forklift certified if needed for the area of responsibility

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in electronics processing, logistics, or reverse supply chain
  • Familiarity with Oracle

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings with Supervisor
  • Participate in internal and external customer or vendor meetings
  • Work with the supervisor to reallocate resources (people/supplies/products etc.) as needed to meet customer goals
  • Work with other departments as needed to ensure proper workflow is achieved
  • Point of contact for employees for handling escalation issues
  • Work with Engineering to identify and resolve process issues
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments with their area of responsibility
  • Track and maintain daily attendance roster for Emergency Evacuation purposes
  • Participate with the 6S Audit team on monthly 6S audits
  • Work with the supervisor to implement any changes or adjustments on the production floor as a result of the audits
  • Perform on-the-job (OJT) refresher training and workstation assessment
  • Monitor inventory levels (WIP Aging) for a specific area of responsibility
  • Monitor KPI and SLA performance levels and escalate any issues/concerns to the supervisor when needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
  • Must be proficient and certified in the area that they are responsible for leading
  • Compile and analyze data
  • Complete daily reports
  • Train and coach associates as needed
