About The Position
As a Material Prep you will be responsible for performing a broad range of material preparation activities in support of manufacturing and assembly operations.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to interpret work orders, parts lists, detailed instructions, procedures and related documentation.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials consistent with job requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, stages, and kits materials, components, hardware, and tooling for production and assembly operations.
- Maintains set-ups of grit blast and plating equipment.
- Maintains organized work area.
- Responsible for proper handling of Hazardous Waste and keeping work area clean and free of safety hazards.
- Cleans, masks, plates, demasks, and identifies parts in accordance with all quality and manufacturing procedures.
- Plates a variety of parts to blueprint using manual methods and completes all associated paperwork.
- Assists with troubleshooting basic plating problems.
