About The Position

Plan, coordinate and manage the supply chain for a select group of parts needed to support manufacturing operations. Manage material shortage report – analyze issues, update shortage management database, etc. Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the supply chain. Effectively communicate across a wide variety of internal and external customers – crisp, clear, continuous communication. Utilize and maintain systems (SAP, Supply On, Shortage DB, etc.). Expedite component deliveries as required, identify critical issues and escalate as required. Review and maintain proper component inventory levels. Develop actions to control inventory on a component basis. Manage consignment component inventory levels to prevent aged material. Engage in PTN / PCN discussions with internal coordinator and execute eSign / PO process. Ensure individual and team compliance to established policies and procedures. Employ various problem-solving techniques (5 Why, etc.) to drive supply chain issues to permanent corrective action. Develop and follow Standard Work practices. Ensure individual (and assist with departmental) 5S+1, Quality, Delivery, Kaizen and Cost goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or similar discipline
  • Knowledge of purchasing, supply chain or similar field of study
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Degree (Engineering, Logistics, Materials Management Discipline)
  • 2 years of purchasing or supply chain work experience
  • Experience in material planning, supply chain, or inventory management.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP
  • Experience working with suppliers and production teams.
  • Intermedium Excel and computer skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
