About The Position

Delta Utilities is seeking a Material Planner who will be responsible for managing material requirements, ensuring availability of components, and coordinating with suppliers, procurement, and production teams. This role is critical to maintaining on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field or 4 plus years’ experience in lieu of a degree.
• 2 plus years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or inventory management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to use a Personal Computer, SAP, and Mobile Data.
• Able to motivate self, accomplish tasks and achieve goals with minimal supervision including self-directed learning.
• Able to respond well to changing priorities.
• Able to solve problems with logical solutions.
• Able to demonstrate and utilize effective oral and written communications skills.
• Able to communicate with co-workers, customers, community leaders and/or contractors and vendors.
• Able to respond to customers with courtesy and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage material requirements plans based on production schedules, forecasts, and/or inventory requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase requisitions to maintain optimal stock.
• Collaborate with procurement, suppliers, and production to resolve shortages, delays, or quality issues.
• Track material flow to ensure timely availability for manufacturing operations.
• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
