About The Position

Trane Technologies is hiring a Material Planner in Clarksville, Tennessee. This on-site role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the material supply plan and managing the initial customer expedite process. The planner coordinates with internal and external suppliers regarding past-due purchase orders, updates purchase orders, and provides timely and accurate dispositions to customer expedite requests. The role supports production and inventory goals by responding to changing customer requirements and maintaining accurate supply information in the ERP system.

Requirements

• Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, and planning processes.
• Ability to understand manufacturing engineering processes and interpret blueprints.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Microsoft Office suite experience.
• ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate purchase order data and supply plans in the ERP system.
• Modify purchase order release due dates and quantities, and close purchase orders based on the demand plan.
• Conduct initial supplier coordination for customer expedite requests.
• Communicate accurately and promptly with affected parties and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance.
• Initially resolve suppliers’ past-due supply and delivery issues to maintain an accurate supply plan.
• Work with suppliers to expedite or defer materials in response to changes in customer requirements and to meet production and inventory goals.
• Conduct problem solving using 9SPS/A3 and participate in facility RIEs as directed by the team leader or site material management leadership.
• Collect information, compile it into standard formats, and prepare monthly and other management reports.
