About The Position

BAE Systems in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a Material Planner II. In this role as a Material Planner II, you will: Own the floor stock cycle count process, including guiding hourly employees. Create actions to improve floor stock accuracy while working with stakeholders to implement actions. Deep dive inaccuracies and follow-through with follow-up actions. Create presentations and brief to management. Utilize Excel heavily to extract data and guide decision making. Hold a high standard on inventory adjustments and be one of the decision points when to adjust inventory. This will require questioning other planners and leaders above you. Though this position is for the Floor Stock Cycle Count lead, you could be moved to the production floor as a lineside Planner if the operation calls for it. While adopting the BAE Systems CMS One Team philosophy, you will interface with internal customers and collaborate cross functionally to drive problem resolution and process changes to improve material on time delivery to the floor. Balance current and future production plans with manufacturing and program to ensure completion of customer requirements. Establish, monitor, and verify Oracle ASCP system parameters, including buffers and inventory levels by performing audits of line side material. Review, action, and resolve material exception messages in advance of production impact.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience, or an Associate's degree and four years related experience, or the overall equivalent. Work experience is considered for those without degree.
  • Oracle ASCP experience - specific to supply/demand.
  • Detailed analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions.
  • Strong planning, time management, multitasking ability, and organizational skills to prioritize work schedules on both a short-term and long-term basis, both for self and others.
  • Sound interpersonal skills used when interfacing interpersonally and in group settings, coordinating and collaborating with peers, stakeholders and internal customers.
  • Able to represent organization as a prime contact on assigned program(s) and projects, while developing and maintaining professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to independently exercise discretion and independent judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles, and applicable MMAS regulations and protocol.
  • Computer skills to work with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) and related software applications.
  • Able to discern and assess charts, graphs, reports and/or other forms of written or graphical communication.
  • Ability to compute, analyze and interpret complex numerical and/or statistical data for forecasting or reporting purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Lean Process Improvement exposure.
  • CPIM or APICS certification.
  • Proven Analytical skills with use of Power BI, Power Pivot, Excel.
