LSI’s management team is focused on continued profitable growth. We are looking for a Material Planner to support our team at our corporate location in Cincinnati, OH. SUMMARY: Manages the MRP system setup with forecasting & ordering rules for the tactical supply of raw material and components used in our operations. Ownership role of our inventory in a multi-site product-based manufacturing environment. Manage the supply chain when existing parts change and initiate supply chain on new parts. Minimize the company’s exposure to excess and obsolete inventory. Provides guidance to Buyers and others throughout the organization. Develop strong professional relationships with our internal customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree minimum required.
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong communicator
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excel intermediate – minimum required

Nice To Haves

  • APICS Certification preferred.
  • JD Edwards / Oracle ERP System experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking the company’s current inventory
  • Analyzing available data from demand planning, inventory reports and other resources
  • Recommending changes to the way the company handles inventory
  • Anticipating factors that might influence demand, such as seasonal slowdowns or upcoming promotions
  • Managing the storage of inventory and materials
  • Maintaining enough inventory to meet demands without overstocking
  • Collaborating with operations, production and other supply chain department team members
  • Participates with a key role in our S&OP process.
  • Engaged on most NPD products as the Supply Chain Representative and Stakeholder.
  • Enhance, monitor, and act on Key Performance indicators & dashboards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborates with other department stakeholders to set up appropriate supply needs, system setup (ordering rules)/procedures, and improvements to business processes.
  • Leadership role in facilitating our inventory exposure and reporting out goals and status of inventory levels to management.
  • Enhancement of procedures, including but not limited to supply chain emergency escalation.
  • Handles confidential information with tact and discretion.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and coach subordinates (if applicable).
  • Travel to other Company locations and supplier visits as needed.
