About The Position

Manage the supply flow and inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.  The planner will analyze the sales forecast and or long-term production planning to plan/gather information and data to forecast raw materials for suppliers to meet production goals.  The material planner will work closely with Customer Planning, Production Planning and Purchasing.

Requirements

• Associate degree minimum
• 3+ years’ experience using SAP Modules: MM, PP, SD, MRP, WM
• Minimum of 2 years in a Supply Chain planning role
• Proficient in MS Office applications, SAP and or other ERP systems
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Nice To Haves

• German language speaking skills is another advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze SAP generated forecasts for accuracy
• Determine the required daily and weekly materials needed for production
• Work with the Material Planning Lead to assist in determining forecasts for Purchasing
• Analyze changing material demand patterns
• Work with Customer Planning to help define raw material requirements based on demand and forecast
• Establish target raw material and finished goods levels to keep on hand
• Assist the Inventory Control Coordinator with daily inventory tasks
