Material Planner II or III Fixed Term
About The Position
As part of a hardworking team of Supply Chain and Planning specialists, you will support the design, development, and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components to support human spaceflight programs. This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight. Multiple positions available across multiple sites and programs. This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
Requirements
- 2+ years of production planning or supply chain experience
- 4+ years of experience working directly within an MRP system
- Intermediate skills with MS Office
- Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

- ASCM / APICS certification
- SQL or Advanced Excel Experience

Responsibilities
- Evaluate and act on MRP action messages, ensuring material availability to support production schedule
- Monitor MRP forecasts, inventory, customer demand, production requirements, inventory transactions and reject material
- Evaluate and adjust Planning Attributes within the Item Master to improve planned order quantities and accuracy
- Key team member in planning, training, implementation, and support of new ERP functionality and reporting
- Responsible for firming Planned Orders into Manufacturing Orders and Purchase Requisitions
- Generate and maintain Transfer Reservations to coordinate cross-site material planning needs
- Manage Project Transfers within your assigned scope of work
- Authorize Project Transfer requests from other programs
- Manage dates on Firm Planned Manufacturing Orders to align with the baseline and recovery production schedules
- Manage Material Requirements on Firm Planned Manufacturing orders to drive the correct build configurations
- Support Engineering Change Impact Assessments and resulting material planning actions
- Ensure finished products are issued to Sales Orders and/or Inventory Reservations upon completion of the independent demand requirement
