The Material Planner / EC Analyst administers, coordinates, and processes engineering change orders. The role procures and plans materials for specific Engineering Changes in accordance with MRP system effective-date requirements. It monitors and tracks items and gathers forecast information from Epicor system data, physical cycle counts, supplier data, and other sources.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of experience in planning, procurement, inventory control, engineering support, or manufacturing administration.
• MRP/ERP system experience.
• Knowledge and aptitude in manufacturing, engineering, and inventory management principles.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing, engineering, and inventory management principles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with engineering change processes, BOM maintenance, or product data management.

Responsibilities

• Review the manufacturing-site impacts of engineering changes and notify affected departments through email and spreadsheet reports as needed.
• Process and coordinate Engineering Changes.
• Track first articles; maintain accurate part attributes and complete engineering and job Bills of Material; support new-part implementation and part-revision changes.
• Read multiple-level Bills of Material.
• Track Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and report their status to related departments.
• Coordinate materials, purchasing, production, and engineering activity around planned effectivity dates in Epicor.
• Expedite and reschedule open purchase orders to meet production-planning requirements.
• Maintain ECM reports using tools such as Excel, Epicor, Access, and PDM.
• Complete pilot testing for ERP system improvements and changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
