About The Position
The Material Packer supports production by monitoring PET output, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring equipment and waste receptacles are clean. The Material Packer operates plant equipment, including forklifts, to pack materials like PET and other products. This role involves recording bag weights, de-bagging PET flake and Una-Dyn Pellet, removing trash, and using a bag baling machine to bale empty bags.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- 1-2 years manufacturing experience.
- 1-2 years sit-down forklift experience.
- Proficiency in English required
Nice To Haves
- Bi-Lingual – Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities
- Monitor PET output in accordance with production goals.
- Keep equipment and floor waste receptacles empty and clean as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Load and unload trucks as directed.
- Assist with physical inventory.
- Track and record material movements using authorized production reports.
- Work with Quality department to maintain acceptable quality of product.
- Follow all procedures, processes, and safety requirements.
- Assist other workers with specific tasks as requested.
- General housekeeping of all work areas.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
