About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Material Pack Out - 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $20.94 per hour. The hours for this shift are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment performing assembly and/or packing requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Strong computer skills with SAP experience
  • Experience using shop math, test apparatus, hand and power tools, machine tool equipment, all types of material handling and lifting equipment, and other equipment required to perform the various job duties

Responsibilities

  • Requisition materials through SAP function
  • Perform assembly operations
  • Gather material (hardware, fabricated aluminum and steel pieces, ceramic insulators, cooper wire, etc) from various points in the plant and bundle for shipment
  • Create scan labels and packing lists and scan labels using RF scanners
  • Print drawings and verify part dimensions as needed
  • Use computer for SAP, CDL and scanning functions on a regular basis
  • Assemble, Gather and bundle, and prepare product for shipment using hand and air tools such as drills, screw drivers, nail guns, banding equipment, saws, and measuring devices
  • Fill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, supply chain and engineering as required
  • Communicate with customers or 3rd parties during customer inspections of assemblies
  • Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments and development needs
  • Work to manufacturing information, drawings, sketches, written or oral instructions from supervision and to established procedures and standards
  • Work closely with other departments to assure that all specifications and quality standards are maintained
  • Provide prompt response and initiate action to change notices, customer-requested adjustments and development requests
  • Identify special or non-standard conditions and notify different departments including supervision, drafting, and engineering
  • Use material handling equipment (hoists, pallet jacks, stretch wrap machine and fork trucks) to move product and supplies
  • Assist lower coded operators or perform tasks of lower coded positions
  • Observe all safety and hygiene requirements as specified or directed
  • Maintain a clean orderly and safe workplace
