About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the functionality and availability of resources within the facility, ensuring clean and orderly production workspaces, and maintaining general warehouse and building integrity. The position involves operating various equipment, processing materials, and adhering to strict quality and sanitation standards. The Material Management Support Technician II will also be responsible for understanding and following chemical usage protocols, maintaining inventory, and completing required documentation.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and equipment; general knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP’s).
  • Consistent good attendance and punctuality
  • Well organized and pays close attention to detail
  • Forklift Certified or ability to become forklift certified
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively within a culturally diverse environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Respond with flexibility, quickly and effectively, to changes
  • Knowledge of safe and effective use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to operate garbage compactors
  • Ability to operate floor scrubber cleaner machine
  • Some experience in janitorial, construction, building maintenance or related trades
  • Able to read, comprehend and execute written instructions & forms, especially LOTO

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the functionality and availability of resources within our facility
  • Clean & maintain orderly production workspaces
  • Maintain General Warehouse and Building Integrity
  • Operate forklift, garbage & recycle compactors & heavy equipment bailer
  • Process recycling & cardboard
  • Dispose of used oil totes, containers & used pallets
  • Manage farm waste & dust collection outputs
  • Adhere to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards, wear required PPE, and encourage coworkers to do the same, leading by example
  • Learn and follow all sanitation requirements while cleaning
  • Learn proper chemical usage, which chemicals are used in different scenarios and the sequence in which they are to be applied. Maintain an awareness of chemicals approved for use, and bring any unapproved chemicals to the attention of Management.
  • Understand chemical labeling requirements and assist with maintaining chemical inventory levels
  • Achieve an understanding of all Quality paperwork, relevant SOPs, WDIs, and Forms
  • Consistently complete facility sanitation sign-off forms as required
