Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • 8 years of experience in material operations.
  • 5 years supervisory/management experience.
  • Significant logistics management experience.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience/knowledge of US Government funding and contracting mechanisms desired.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and interpretations preferred.
  • Certified DOT HAZMAT awareness 181 preferred.
  • Practitioner of Lean tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP planning systems (varies with site).
  • Knowledge of Basic Supply Chain Management; to include master planning of resources, detailed scheduling and planning, and execution and control of operations.
  • Knowledge of international conversions of weight, measures, and monetary exchanges.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the company's efforts to support internal and external customers through various material team assets, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, purchasing, planning, quality, and off-site functions.
  • Keeps abreast of industry regulations pertaining to parts handling, export licensing and control, customs, and anti-boycott procedures.
  • Ensures materials are adequately stored and controlled, as they are frequently audited for governmental compliance by Department of State, ITAR, and FAA regulators.
  • Controls internal and external costs for all materials shipped to and from the company.
  • Responsible for planning inventory and purchased part needs and timely disbursement to aircraft.
  • Manages subordinate personnel, providing guidance and training to meet position requirements.
  • Gives direction and guidance to operations and scheduling in the priority order of receiving and shipping processes for company and customer assets.
  • Maintains daily contact with department management for project planning, information gathering, and problem-solving.
  • Ensures departmental compliance in the implementation of all quality improvement processes.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and reports production's actual schedule position to the master schedule.
  • Coordinates activities to ensure all materials are available for production in support of the master schedule.
  • Utilizes Lean principles for continuous improvement in processing and work flows.
  • Manages and publishes daily activity meetings with departments (where applicable).
  • Works with Sr. Manager and Director to establish tactical projects aligned with their vision.
  • Controls the scrap/salvage program.
  • Monitors and ensures the material/inventory control cycle count process is maintained within corporate guidelines.
  • Monitors and maintains the petty cash account.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
