This role performs a variety of duties as a specialist in receiving, warehousing, distribution, delivery, and supply replenishment processes, ensuring the efficiency of all supply locations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year of experience in warehouse, logistics, or other supply chain discipline
  • Demonstrates basic computer/PC navigation skills
  • Demonstrates warehousing devices and equipment handling, hardware usage, and software knowledge.

  • Technical School Diploma or Associate’s Degree
  • Familiarity with medical supplies, consumables, and equipment
  • Ability to obtain a basic understanding of the use of medical supplies, consumables, and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Determines the amount of supply needed for each bin and ensures sufficient product for the next replenishment cycle.
  • Uses a handheld scanner to enter product amounts for picking.
  • Picks supplies from the warehouse/storeroom, verifying each item by product number, unit of measure, manufacturer number, warehouse location, and quantity.
  • De-cases supplies as needed and places them in baskets or on mobile carts for delivery.
  • Delivers supplies to the appropriate location, verifying quantity, description, checking expiration dates, and placing them in correct bins/locations.
  • Straightens supply rooms, rotates stock, returns items for credit, and notes any issues or concerns.
  • Receives Fedex/UPS packages and other network shipments, both physically and in the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Performs outgoing shipping functions.
  • Investigates missing or delayed packages.
  • Manages the packing, ordering, delivery, monitoring, collection, and return of clean and soiled linen, including scrubs and slings.
  • Participates in physical inventory preparation and completion.
  • Operates material handling equipment, such as pallet trucks/jacks, to stock shelves and move/deliver supplies.
