About The Position

The Materials Management Coordinator supports the Head of Materials Management by planning, coordinating, and controlling daily material movements across inbound logistics, warehousing, supermarkets, and line-side supply. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the on-time and consumption-oriented provision of materials to assembly and manufacturing, while continuously optimizing material flows, transparency, and operational stability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) and 3 + years of experience in materials management, warehouse coordination, or production logistics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing material flow and line-side supply.
  • Experience in coordination, dispatching, or production planning environments.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse and internal logistics operations.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple material flows in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Process-driven, solution-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Effective communicator and team player, able to collaborate across shop floor and leadership levels and influence without direct authority.

  • Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and actively control daily material movements across the plant.
  • Allocate resources and prioritize material flows in line with production requirements.
  • Ensure on-time material availability at the point of use in assembly and manufacturing.
  • Monitor material flow performance and identify bottlenecks or risks.
  • Support the Head of Materials Management in achieving operational targets and KPIs.
  • Coordinate closely with Team Leads (Goods Receiving, Internal Transport, High-Bay Warehouse, Supermarkets) and Production planning, assembly, and manufacturing teams.
  • Trigger and track corrective actions in case of deviations (e.g., shortages, delays, disruptions).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on flow optimization and waste reduction.
  • Maintain and improve transparency in material flows using ERP systems and visual management.
  • Support ramp-up phases, volume changes, and short-term rescheduling requirements.
