About The Position

As a Material Planner with Trane Technologies in La Crosse, collaborate with manufacturing teams to solve problems, improve processes, and improve key metrics. Manage purchases of raw materials and components and ensure timely delivery to the plant to support assembly operations. This is an on-site position, five days per week.

Requirements

• Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or purchasing.
• Exposure to manufacturing, quality control, production planning, warehousing, or inventory control.
• Experience with major ERP platforms or manufacturing databases.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for daily interaction with multiple teams through multiple communication channels.

Responsibilities

• Define delivery methods for purchased raw materials and components by category and maintain accurate inventory levels to support production requirements.
• Partner with material planning, scheduling, engineering, quality, finance, and assembly operations.
• Resolve issues related to receiving, putaway, picking, and transferring raw materials and components.
• Analyze and quantify raw data and evaluate it for trends and opportunities.
• Support inventory management, data accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
• Engage in product life-cycle initiatives involving design modifications, value engineering, and supplier sourcing changes.
• Participate in lean problem-solving projects and events to create sustainable standard work.
