About The Position

This role is part of the Tangara Fleet Life Extension (TFLE) project, which aims to upgrade operating systems, modernize passenger information systems, and enhance accessibility features for the Tangara train fleet. The project contributes to building future workforce capabilities, strengthening local economies, and supporting the growth of NSW's transportation industry. The Material Inspector will ensure all components are thoroughly inspected for quality and compliance, compare parts against engineering drawings, and assess items according to the Kitting Tracker, verifying labelling accuracy.

Requirements

• Sharp eye for detail and quality.
• Expertise in matching parts to technical specifications.
• Experience in checking quality and compliance.
• Background in a similar quality and inspection role.
• Mechanical Trade qualification.
• Practical experience.
