About The Position

Advanced Roofing, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Material Handling Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in material management. This role involves leading a team, managing inventory, coordinating with construction teams, and maintaining a compliant and organized warehouse environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience (required)
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role (required)
  • Experience handling roofing and HVAC materials (required)
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
  • Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests
  • Ability to lift 100 LBS or more
  • Successful Background Check
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and warehouse management systems
  • Ability to conduct accurate inventory counts and maintain high accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain a drug-free culture

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training, certifications, or college degree (preferred)
  • Previous construction industry experience (preferred)
  • Forklift certification (preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train warehouse staff on operations, safety, and equipment use
  • Lead daily huddles to review schedules, safety, and workflow
  • Oversee inventory control, cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation
  • Maintain 98% inventory accuracy through consistent monitoring and controls
  • Track expiration-sensitive materials and communicate usage priorities
  • Ensure pick lists are completed accurately and materials are loaded/unloaded safely
  • Communicate with construction teams to coordinate material needs
  • Audit receiving procedures and inspect incoming goods for accuracy and quality
  • Operate and oversee forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
  • Ensure warehouse and facility remain clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant
  • Coordinate repairs and report maintenance needs to the Fleet & Equipment team
  • Enforce safety procedures and compliance with OSHA, state, and federal regulations
