As a Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Technician, you will repair and maintain electric and propane industrial lift trucks, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and/or cherry pickers. You will follow manuals and use hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of electrical, power transmission, brake, and other mechanical systems. This role involves managing the repair of MHE, including monitoring, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. You will conduct preventive maintenance (PM's) according to manufacturer guidelines, which includes oil changes, filter changes, calibration, belt changes, inspections, adjustments, and lubrication. The technician is responsible for logging time and materials into a computerized maintenance management system and must be able to interpret plans, specifications, schematics, and manuals. The position also requires assisting battery technicians with charger repairs, battery changes, plug and tip repairs, battery watering and washing, and acid spill cleanup. Additionally, you will support building and refrigeration maintenance teams with general building repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration system maintenance.
