About The Position

As a Symbia Logistics Material Handling Equipment Operator, we want a creative and dynamic individual to perform various warehouse activities. Your activities and cross training may include using Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, Reach trucks, Pallet Jacks, as well as receiving, data input, sorting, loading and unloading, and using up to date technology to work in packaging and scanning products. Inventory duties, organizing, processing and pick/pack/ship exciting products for our amazing clients are also part of the role. The right candidate will have a strong attention to detail as you will also be inspecting products for defects and reporting damages as needed. Requirements

  • Previous experience with warehouse equipment is necessary.
  • Strong working knowledge and prior experience with warehouse data systems.
  • Excellent communication and inventory skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and good depth perception.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (at least two hours straight, four times in an eight-hour day).
  • Ability to twist, bend, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to use hands and feet simultaneously for repetitive movements.
  • Ability to get on and off industrial lift equipment on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work in an environment with occasional extreme temperature shifts, loud noises, dust, moving mechanical parts, and moving equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • GED and prior experience is acceptable.
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process, pack, and ship orders accurately and timely.
  • Utilize RF guns for direction.
  • Operate equipment such as Forklifts, Reach Trucks, and Cherry Pickers.
  • Maintain inventory of products and help to restock or replenish.
  • Inspect products for damages and report findings to your supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Receive and appropriately sort and store incoming products.
  • Prepare products for shipping and ensure accuracy against packing slips.
  • Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
