Job Description IKO is a global leader in manufacturing roofing products with production facilities worldwide. We are currently seeking a Material Handling Coordinator to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Bismarck, Missouri plant. This plant produces granules from raw material for our vertically integrated shingle manufacturing operation. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and inventory control principles
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to update and maintain computer inventory records
  • Ability to read and prepare packing slips and labels
  • Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must be able to traverse the storeroom quickly and efficiently
  • Physically able to maintain storeroom inventory and cleanliness
  • Requires sitting at a computer 50% - 70% shift. Requires walking through the plant to deliver parts on a routine basis.
  • Must be able to walk, see, stand, bend, and navigate stairs and ladders as needed, lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical skills, and be able to work independently when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of ABC warehousing fundamentals is a plus
  • Mechanical parts knowledge is a plus
  • Forklift License is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and sort incoming parts and materials; operate a forklift to unload and move items as required
  • Stock items in an orderly, accessible manner in the Parts Room and Satellite Storage areas; establish and maintain proper labeling and location accuracy
  • Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies to internal users
  • Prepare and stage parts for upcoming PM work orders
  • Review computer maintenance management system (CMMS) work orders
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, quantities, part types, cycle counts and storage locations
  • Prepare and submit orders to replenish stock items and supplies
  • Complete Cycle Counts as needed
  • Maintain appropriate Min/Max levels and unique identification for all spare parts, materials, supplies, and tools
  • Prepare and package items for shipping to vendors for repair when needed.
  • Advise planners, production personnel, and internal users on the appropriateness of requested parts, supplies, or materials
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and personal work area
  • Work with the supervisor to optimize parts organization and storage systems
  • Comply with all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company procedures to ensure safe and compliant operations at all times.
