About The Position
Individual contributors who provide support services to complete daily business activities (e.g. administrative, clerical, technical, production or trade levels.) The majority of time is spent in the delivery of services or activities, typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside of this career track typically require experience, additional education, and/or licensure/certification. This job family is responsible for all of the steps involved in getting products from suppliers to customers. Activities include work associated with obtaining goods and services for all types of business processes; finished goods demand inventory planning and production planning & control to achieve targeted quality, wastage, and inventory levels; movement, storage, and inventory control of materials, finished goods, tools, and packaging materials; import/export & customs management. Freight forwarding services roles are included in this job family. Positions in this sub-family are responsible for the storage and movement of materials and finished goods including: shipping & receiving; warehousing; order filling, picking, and packing; executing inventory control processes & records management; dispatch; developing transport schedules, methods, and routes; analyzing and projecting transportation costs; operating low complexity motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment; maintaining, loading, packing, and driving vehicles; evaluating, selecting, and managing ongoing relationships with external transport providers (e.g., fuel suppliers, trucking / shipping companies, etc.); and acquiring and managing fleet vehicles. Overview: Individual contributor that works under close supervision; follows established processes to perform routine tasks. Typically has limited to no prior knowledge or qualification. Purpose: Follows routines to achieve day-to-day objectives. Qualifications/ Experience: Work requires limited to no job knowledge. Typically requires no prior experience. Problem Solving: Tasks are routine or well defined, problems have standardized solutions. Management & Supervision: Works under close supervision with detailed instructions or standard procedures to complete all daily work activities.
