About The Position

We are seeking a dependable candidate who is a team player to join our team as a Material Handling 1 in our Accessories department. Bradington-Young, a division of Hooker Furnishings Corporation, has been crafting high quality leather seating for over 30 years. Hooker Furnishings is a designer, marketer and importer of case goods (wooden and metal furniture), leather furniture and fabric-upholstered furniture for the residential, hospitality and contract markets. Requirements

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing plant or warehouse.
• Excellent attendance.
• A positive attitude and like working in a team with daily goals to achieve.
• Basic computer skills.
• Adaptable and proactive mindset in a dynamic, changing environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Pull components and materials as needed to stage for the upholstery department.
• Use handheld mobile device.
• Use dollies and carts to move frames and other materials to line up and stage for production.
• Move quickly between departments with minimal distraction to pull products and return to upholstery area.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds or up to 100 pounds as furniture frames can weigh this much.
• Be able to match production numbers on different components to ensure accurate product flow.
• Work in a team environment to continue work flow to upholstery teams.
