About The Position

This is a contract position for a Material Handler with required forklift experience, located in El Paso, TX. The role is for a medical devices company and is considered entry-level. The position involves working on moderately complex assignments, using judgment for item location, storage, packaging, movement, and release of materials. The Material Handler will prepare goods for the Production Area, keep accurate logs, and may be responsible for cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. The role requires effective teamwork and the ability to make effective decisions related to position requirements.

Requirements

Sit down and stand-up Forklift experience required
Must be able to pay continuous attention to detailed operations.
High school diploma / GED required
Steel toed shoes

Nice To Haves

Operator license preferred
Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills preferred.
Ability to safely operate all required preferred

Responsibilities

Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
Uses judgment requiring location and storage of items, proper packaging, methods of movement of materials, and release of materials.
Ability to work independently as required.
May receive general supervision with little instruction on routine work.
May prepare goods for Production Area
Keeps accurate logs
Is knowledgeable of receiving and/or distribution function.
May be responsible for conducting cycle counts to maintain accurate inventories.
Effectively works in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives.
Make effective decisions relative to position requirements.
Compare physical inventory with inventory records to ensure the numbers match
