About The Position

Global Power Components is seeking a Material Handler for their Milwaukee, WI facility. This is a temp-to-hire position with an initial duration of 3+ months, requiring onsite work 5 days a week. The role involves reading blueprints to identify necessary materials and project timelines, moving materials to work areas for product building, and coordinating and staging materials efficiently and safely.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints to be able to pick appropriate materials
• Critical thinker who can make decisions and act on them
• Ability to follow instructions
• Possess ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• High school diploma or GED
• Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical and drug screen

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a material handler helpful
• Forklift certified preferred

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine materials necessary for projects as well as timelines to prepare for projects.
• Move materials to work areas in preparation for building product.
• Coordinate and stage materials quickly and safely.
