Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 0 – 1+ years of general work experience
  • Ability to read and understand the English language
  • Must possess good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Ability to learn to operate powered lift trucks and other material movers
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented
  • Must be a team player and maintain appropriate attendance standard

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks or from pallets, trays, storage racks, conveyors, and machines
  • Enter transactions into computer system or catalog
  • Maintain First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory system
  • Ensure all counts and shipping documents accurately represent material and product being shipped and received before signing
  • Sort and place materials in predetermined storage locations in the warehouse or plant
  • Report material shortages to purchasing agent or warehouse supervisor
  • Ensure all overnight and ground shipments are processed daily
  • Accurately count and record material and product during physical inventories and audits
  • Comply with all safety rules, policies and procedures, maintain neat and orderly work areas
  • Other duties as assigned
