About The Position

The Material Handler position involves moving, sorting, and organizing materials within a warehouse environment. Responsibilities include managing inventory, packaging orders, operating forklifts, and ensuring a safe and organized workspace. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods from receiving to shipping.

Requirements

Ability to operate Raymond forklifts
Knowledge of warehouse organization and inventory management
Familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA)
Ability to wear safety equipment at all times
Willingness to perform facilities maintenance duties as needed

Nice To Haves

Experience in a similar material handling role
Experience with material movement paperwork
Experience with physical inventory counting

Responsibilities

Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code
Restock material in assigned bin location; or fill requisitions for materials and distribute items to designated delivery trucks
Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together; package orders for shipping, pick up or truck delivery
Measure, cut and package material
Complete Material Movement paperwork
Open boxes, crates, and other containers
Examine stock for deterioration and defects, and reports findings
Assist in counting of physical inventory
Inspect Raymond fork lift daily for damages and report findings
Load and operate Raymond fork-lifts; load trucks for next day deliveries
Keep warehouse and work area organized at all times
Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings
Wear safety equipment at all times
Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
