About The Position

Lakeside Book Company is the largest book manufacturer in North America. This position offers temporary to full-time employment, with temporary employees eligible for Full-Time Employment Evaluation after just 30 days based on attendance, performance, work ethic, and business need. Full-time employment is also available for qualified applicants. The Material Handler role involves creating bundles of book sections, feeding book sections into the binding machine, and moving books from the production line to stack them into boxes. The role also requires working in a team environment and cross-training with others. Lakeside Book Company values craftsmanship and collaboration, encouraging employees to improve their skills and capabilities. Preference will be given to candidates who agree to participate in cross-training, which includes achieving qualified status within the position and assuming responsibility as a backup for lateral and progressive roles, as needed.

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Ability to lift and carry 20 to 80 pounds.
• Ability to stand for the entire duration of your shift.
