About The Position

Teknor Apex is seeking a Material Handler to operate production equipment according to SOPs and batch cards, ensuring all job functions are performed safely and in compliance with established rules and policies. This role involves maintaining organization and cleanliness of the work area, managing raw materials according to FIFO and shelf-life procedures, and completing necessary training, including DOT Hazardous Material Training. The Material Handler will also be responsible for sending raw materials to blender loaders and compounders, and preparing raw material distribution orders for shipment to other Teknor plants.

Requirements

High School or G.E.D.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Operate production equipment as outlined in SOP’s and batch cards.
Perform all job functions in accordance with all established safety rules and policies.
Perform any additional duties assigned by Production Supervisor of Leadman.
Keep all partial bags of material sealed.
Replace missing labels on raw materials.
Place raw materials in the correct location.
Perform housekeeping duties, including sweeping and mopping racks daily and keeping the oil house organized.
Follow First In First Out (FIFO) procedures when sending up raw materials.
Follow all shelf-life procedures.
Properly empty drums and dispose of them properly.
Complete DOT Hazardous Material Training.
Send up raw materials to blender loaders and compounders.
Pull and prepare raw material distribution orders (DO) for shipment to other Teknor plants.
