About The Position

Responsible for the preparation of material for production use. This role involves issuing raw materials for work orders, performing cycle counts and return transactions, preparing materials for work orders (including saw cutting), unloading incoming trucks, ensuring material identification and control, marking and storing materials, maintaining physical inventory accuracy, handling raw materials in compliance with standards, potentially entering purchase orders for outsourced products, counting receipts, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and potentially training others once competency is demonstrated. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High School or GED
0-3 years of experience
Ability to operate forklift
Ability to read blueprints
Excellent communication skills to handle employee requests for material/tooling
Organized and detail-oriented individual
Excellent clerical skills
Ability to use multiple measurement instruments
Excellent attendance record
Willingness to work flexible schedules with overtime as needed
Valid driver’s license

Previous manufacturing experience
Computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel)
Manufacturing software experience

Responsibilities

Issue raw materials for work orders, cycle count inventory and perform transactions for return issues.
Prepare material for work order needs (saw cut).
Unload all incoming trucks (i.e., steel, UPS, FedEx, Paragon truck).
Ensure that all material is properly identified and accurately controlled.
Mark and store all materials in designated areas.
Responsible for physical inventory accuracy of assigned areas.
Handle raw material in compliance with standards.
May be responsible for entering purchase orders for outsource product.
May count all receipts from both external and internal sources.
Maintain a safe, clean environment within and surrounding the material preparation area.
Train others in similar roles once competency is demonstrated.
Other duties as assigned.
