About The Position

A Material Handler supports the Production Supervisor in one specific aspect of production, which is Material Handling. By doing this it enables the adequate machine and system operation and setups, order processing, job cleanups and troubleshooting. A Material Handler is a key component in keeping our systems up and running so we can produce high quality magnets for our customers.

Requirements

  • Has 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Has a High School Diploma or GED, Associates degree is preferred.
  • Possesses the ability to read and comprehend Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
  • Has basic knowledge in using Microsoft Office, as well as, downloading SCADA files.
  • Is able to generate and comprehend production and job order reports.
  • Possesses the ability to use, interpret and communicate mathematical information.
  • Is able to follow process steps and parameters and, is proficient in the use of modern technology.
  • Has good communication skills, a strong work ethic, and pays attention to details.
  • Is a team player with good attitude.
  • Has a strong eye for safety.
  • Is able to move up to 50lbs.
  • Can wear PPE.
  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time, up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
  • Is capable of making repetitive movements including, but not limited to, sitting and squatting.
  • Can communicate effectively between all stakeholders, to maintain product quality and consistent output across the different systems within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the material management systems are running as prescribed throughout all process steps of the magnet production process.
  • Performing material maintenance as well as, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Monitoring and interacting with equipment-systems operators to ensure a smooth and non-stop magnet manufacturing operation.
  • Providing valuable information to help diagnose Materials Management System issues.
  • Supporting to meet production standard targets by monitoring overall machine cycle time, performance materials management cycle times and bottle availability.
