About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials. This role also supports inventory control, customer deliveries, and general warehouse maintenance to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license required.
Current forklift certification required (must be obtained and maintained).
Valid Georgia Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT medical card) required for operating company trucks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
Ability to operate company vehicles, including a 26-foot box truck.
Ability to use computers and computer systems, such as Outlook, Excel, and ERP system.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and team members.
Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and integrity.
Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain active forklift certification and adhere to all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and required safety trainings when operating equipment or performing warehouse duties.
Perform local deliveries and pickups using company vehicles.
Pull and fulfill picking tickets accurately and in a timely manner.
Package materials for shipment and prepare all required shipping documentation.
Receive, label, and properly store incoming materials.
Conduct inventory transactions and maintain accurate records using ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
Create and manage shipment manifests using Excel or other systems as required.
Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts and audits.
Communicate professionally with customers via email and other channels.
Stage materials for projects and ensure readiness for shipment or use.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including general cleaning and equipment upkeep.
Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
