About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for safely staging, transporting, and organizing raw materials and finished products throughout the manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, this role plays a key part in supporting production operations, maintaining material flow, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Ability to meet qualification and certification requirements through TimberTech's Training Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) Program.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support a safe workplace by following all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Conduct daily forklift inspections, safely operate equipment, and replace propane tanks as needed.
  • Ensure production teams have the necessary materials and supplies to maintain efficient operations, including capping, dunnage boards, boxes, and scrap bins.
  • Transport finished products to designated storage locations using scanning and inventory procedures.
  • Assist with wrapping, banding, and moving finished goods as needed.
  • Support the loading of regrind materials into silos or bags.
  • Assist with grinder operation and basic maintenance activities.
  • Stage bins, skids, and raw materials to support production schedules.
  • Help with cardboard recycling and waste management initiatives.
  • Assist the Receiving Department with loading and unloading trucks when needed.
  • Monitor and document silo levels to ensure adequate material supply for production.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
