About The Position
The Material Handler is accountable for safety, 5S, shipping, receiving freight, locating freight, put-aways, picking orders, shipping & receiving, cycle counting, assembly, process improvement and team productivity.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Tow motor experience/pallet jack
- Flexible with hours
- Computer processing experience (Microsoft office/Excel)
- Warehouse experience using barcode scanners.
- Must be able to work in the US.
- Detail oriented
- Communicates effectively.
- Works well within a Team environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensures all safety procedures are followed and actively works to improve our safety program.
- Ensures all quality procedures are followed and actively works to improve our quality program.
- Manage workflow and delivery of merchandise throughout the plant.
- Coordinate and execute the delivery of materials to machines from its inventory location.
- Reweigh and return any residual unused material. Make sure it is labeled with name of material and qty.
- Coordinate and execute the movement of work order in process to each machine, as needed.
- Stage finished goods neatly in designated finished goods location
- Transacting materials consumed by production in ERP
- Maintain a clean & organized working environment (5s)
- Pick orders timely & correctly
- Cycle count materials
- Learn & navigate our inventory control system
- Ability to check-in, put away parts
- Prepare handling of goods
- Material receipts
- Ability to pick & pack orders sturdy & presentable
- Support shipping/receiving
- Other duties as assigned
