About The Position

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Material Handler to join their Cell Therapy team in Summit, NJ. This role is responsible for managing material needs and requirements for CAR-T production in controlled environments, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements. The Material Handler will work within a team on an assigned production shift schedule, communicate production deviations, and assist with quality investigations as needed. The available shift is Sunday - Wednesday, 11 a.m. - 11:30 p.m., with every other Wednesday off. This is an onsite position. Requirements

  • Knowledge of cGMP/FDA regulated industry.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • General understanding of cGMPs.
  • Technical writing capability.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Inventory control and/or management.
  • Background to include an understanding of biology, chemistry, medical or clinical practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree with no prior Manufacturing or Operations experience.
  • OR Associate/ Medical Technical degree and 1-2 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience.
  • OR High School diploma/GED and 3-4 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Strong MS Office experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of GMP experience.
  • 1 year of ERP experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs inventory control: cycle counts, material stocking, scrapping, at a minimum.
  • Manages material expiry, allocation, and maintains material condition requirements.
  • Quantifies and maintains materials in production dispensary.
  • Maintains timing according to the production schedule to ensure on-time logistics.
  • Records material handling data and information in a clear, concise, format according to proper GDPs.
  • Works in a team based, cross-functional environment to complete warehousing tasks required by shift schedule.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with blood derived components.
