Material Handler
About The Position
This role is responsible for performing daily shipping and receiving activities, including accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting shipments, and preparing and processing outbound shipments. The Material Handler will maintain shipping and receiving records, safely unload chassis, and transport materials to designated warehouse and pole barn locations. They will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move inventory, ensuring all inventory movements are accurately recorded in AX. This position also involves investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, performing cycle counts, assisting with physical inventory audits, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The Material Handler will support production and other departments with inventory and material needs, correctly pull and deliver products and components to support the production process, and return materials to proper locations, updating system inventory as needed. Adherence to safety procedures and daily cleanup of the work area are also key responsibilities.
Requirements
- Safe operation of equipment such as forklifts and cherry pickers
- Familiarity with materials management and inventory control
- Understanding of warehousing and/or production software
