About The Position

The Material Handler in Receiving supplies and supports manufacturing staging areas with materials listed on work orders and must be able to train others in the same role. The position handles receiving, inventory transactions and records, material storage and movement, shuttle-truck loading and unloading, shipment paperwork, cycle counts, and housekeeping while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification to drive all types of forklifts.
• At least 2–3 years of forklift experience.
• Ability to read and write English and perform simple math calculations.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Complete required material issue and returned-component transactions accurately and on time.
• Maintain inventory location records, including receipts, moves, and issues; rack and locate inbound receipts.
• Load, prepare, and/or unload shuttle trucks according to departmental and operational policies.
• Warehouse materials according to policy and assist with FIFO stock rotation.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with preparing and conducting physical inventories.
• Arrange and complete required paperwork for shipments to OSV.
• Complete bills of lading with correct information.
• Assist with housekeeping and keep the back pad clean and organized.
• Follow lift-truck safety guidelines and procedures and maintain certification.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures and recommend safety improvements as needed.
• Train others in the same role.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
